Two days left to vote — and every single vote counts
The numbers are in — and they’re impressive. With just two days left in the voting phase of the inaugural Belgian-Australian Excellence Awards, the community has spoken loud and clear: this matters.
More than 3,500 votes have already been cast across the six award categories, a level of enthusiasm that has surpassed all expectations for a first-ever initiative of its kind in Australia.
In several categories, the race is extraordinarily tight.
We’re talking margins that could be decided by a handful of votes. The candidates who have made it to the shortlist have earned their place — and right now, the only thing standing between them and recognition is whether their supporters show up before the window closes.
Voting closes Sunday, 4 May 2026.
If you haven’t voted yet, now is the moment. If you have — share the link with someone who hasn’t. A colleague. A friend from the Belgian community. A business contact who knows one of the nominees. Every vote reshapes the outcome.
The ceremony takes place on 21 May at the Belgian Embassy in Canberra. On that evening, the winners will be named, people and organisations whose excellence was always there. It just needed a spotlight.
