Voting is open for the fifth edition of the French-Australian Excellence Awards! Organised by Le Courrier Australien, the Awards recognise talents who embody excellence within the French-speaking community in Australia. Innovative entrepreneurs, renowned scientists, passionate chefs… All of them contribute in their own way to developing Franco-Australian relations in a positive and concrete manner.
“This fifth edition confirms the central role of these awards for the Franco-Australian community. We received nearly 120 nominations and are delighted to honour these talented individuals who are a source of pride for both our countries,’” explains François Vantomme, editor-in-chief of Le Courrier Australien and founder of the Awards. “We would like to thank everyone who submitted nominations, as well as our sponsors (Art Atrium 48, Bilateral Solutions, Engie, French Assist, l’Oréal, Ponant, Smart Mango, Tefal and Theault), without whom this prestigious event would not have been possible. We would also like to thank the French Embassy and the Team France associations (Alliance Française, Business France, FACCI, La French Tech Australia and the CCE), whose support gives this event a national dimension.”
As every year, this new edition features the usual categories such as Sustainable Development, Research & Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Culture and Sport, but also sees the introduction of two new categories: Women in STEM, which highlights women with brilliant careers in the scientific world, and International Expansion and Value Creation, which rewards companies that strengthen economic relations between France and Australia.
You can vote for your favourite candidate until 19 October. Readers of Le Courrier Australien have the opportunity to select one finalist, and a panel of experts will meet to select the other two finalists in each category. The awards ceremony will take place on Tuesday 25 November at the French Embassy in Canberra, during an evening celebrating Franco-Australian talent.
So vote now to reward Franco-Australian excellence!
