FACCI is delighted to announce the winners of the 2024 Air Liquide Concours des Vins du Victoria.

MELBOURNE (VIC), OCTOBER 8, 2024 – The French-Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FACCI) is delighted to announce the winners of the 2024 Concours des Vins du Victoria proudly sponsored by Air Liquide, celebrating the excellence of Victorian winemaking. After a seven-year hiatus, the competition returned across four categories: Aromatic Whites, Chardonnay, Shiraz, and Pinot Noir, judged by a panel of experts from the French-Australian wine community.

The panel included Loic Le Calvez, Senior Winemaker at Chandon Australia (Co-Chair); Christian Maier, Operation and Beverage Manager at University House; (Co-Chair); Alexandre Rougeot, Founder and Director of Clos Cachet; Camm Whiteoak, Sommelier at RACV City Club; Sophie Carbonneau, Senior Buyer at Bibendum Wine Co.; Adeline Zimmerman, Export Manager Pacific Area for Barton & Guestier at Castel Wines; and Gilles Lapalus, Wine Consultant at Lapalus.

The rating system followed the Robert Parker 100-point scale, with gold medals awarded to wines scoring 95 or above, silver for scores between 90 and 94.5, and bronze for those between 85 and 89.5. This year, 68 medals were awarded, a testament to the quality of Victorian winemaking.
